We are proud to announce a new milestone in the development of our company, Oleum Maris – we have planted 20,000 Malvasia vines across 4 hectares of our land, right next to our Oio Vivo olive grove. This initiative reflects our dedication to enriching the Istrian winemaking tradition and further expanding our range of premium products.
The vineyard has been established on our estate, in a location overlooking Pula and the Brijuni archipelago. This area offers ideal conditions for vine cultivation, thanks to its favorable climate and rich soil.
Until now, we’ve been recognized for producing top-quality extra virgin olive oil under the Oio Vivo brand. With 20,000 Malvasia vines, we are confident we will establish ourselves as a key player in the wine industry and as a passionate ambassador of Istrian viticulture. Beyond simply expanding our product range, our goal is to raise production standards and craft wines that stand shoulder to shoulder with the finest in the region.
We are proud of our olive grove and our award-winning Oio Vivo extra virgin olive oil, which has received numerous international accolades. We believe we will achieve equally high standards in viticulture. By entering the world of winemaking, we aim to unite the production of exceptional olive oils and wines, offering gastronomy lovers a complete and authentic taste of Istria. We plan to welcome visitors for tours of our olive grove and vineyard, paired with tastings of our products.
Projects like this contribute not only to the advancement of agriculture, but also to the growth of the local community. The planting of our vineyard brings new employment opportunities, supports the development of infrastructure, and strengthens both regional agriculture and the local tourism offer.
We invite you to join us on this exciting journey as we create a new story of Istrian wine — together.
