At the largest and most prestigious global competition for extra virgin olive oil quality, the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC), all four of our single-variety extra virgin olive oils received gold medals for their exceptional quality.
The gold-winning Oio Vivo brands are: Vodnjanska Buža, Žižolera, Istarska Bjelica, and Rozinjola.
The judging panel of this prestigious competition consists of a team of leading global experts who follow a rigorous technical protocol to analyze each oil. The award winners are featured in the official guide to the world’s best olive oils, The Best Olive Oil Index. Its annual list of award winners is regarded as the authoritative guide to the finest extra virgin olive oils. Being featured in such a guide is an exceptional honor for any olive grower, and we are proud to be included.
Winning four gold medals at such a highly regarded global competition is an achievement few in Croatia, or even worldwide, can boast. This is especially remarkable when considering the impressive number of olive oil samples submitted for evaluation and the number of participating countries. It is also worth noting that for the fifth consecutive year, we have earned gold medals at this prestigious competition.
